Bathurst is average 12 kilometres inland from Port Alfred, on the R67 road. It is named after Henry Bathurst. This agricultural town has a pineapple museum. This building is shaped like a pineapple that's 17 meters tall and is the biggest pineapple in the world. This museum represents the regions pineapple industry.
The Pig & Whistle built in 1821 in the oldest pub in the country allegedly given its name from men at the nearby 43 Air School.
