Sunnyside got it's name for most house being north facing and getting direct sunlight. This area is becoming more and more popular. Close to Rhodes Univeristy as well as the all girls school Victoria girls and also Hoerskool PJ Olivier, which is our only mainstream Afrikaans school. 
Sunnyside offers charming historic cottages, homes and apartments. It gives off a charming and tranquil feeling.
